Branches

The system Grow is used to enable cloning large set of hierarchical branches. Pot objects are used to store references to existing nodes. When the pot is selected by the system, clicking grow will allow you then to place sets of branches into the scene. The branches are chosen at random from the pot but the probability can be weighted.

The system Plant allows you to place objects onto the surface of other objects that are selected.

If creating trees for the viewer, it is important to consider that the sample exporter and viewer provided will assume instances have the same child hierarchy. Doing this means that an instanced object's hierarchy does not need to be re-exported, thus saving memory. As a working practice its useful to use imposters to signify when a branch hierarchy is complete and ready for instancing, and its children should not be deleted.
